Six Caribbean recipients among ARIN 40 fellows

The American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) has announced the names of their most recent fellows. 

ARIN fellows get the chance to network with the ARIN Board of Trustees, Advisory Council, and ARIN staff members, plus community members from throughout the region. Additionally, they learn more about ARIN services and programs, including ARIN's Policy Development Process, while participating in current policy discussions.

Among the Caribbean recipients for ARIN 40 are:

  • Gerard Best, Trinidad and Tobago
  • Cesar Oscar Cordero Casilla, Dominican Republic
  • Rudi Daniel, St Vincent and the Grenadines
  • Jose R. de la Cruz, Puerto Rico
  • Bartlett Morgan, Barbados
  • Kerrie-Ann Richards, Jamaica

This year, the removal of the domicile requirements meant I was eligible to apply (and once selected, happy to accept.) The full list of Fellows for ARIN 40 and previous meetings is available on the ARIN website.

The fellowship program provides the opportunity for up to 15 people to attend a Public Policy and Members Meeting at no charge, including hotel accommodations at the meeting venue, round-trip economy-class airfare, and a small stipend to assist with travel incidentals and meals. Fellows are also paired with a mentor for an enhanced meeting experience. Mentors include ARIN Advisory Council members, seasoned community members, and ARIN staff.
